MESSAGE #1501 HOW TO BE A CHAMPION

Muhammad Ali once said, “To be a great champion, you have to believe you are the best. If you’re not, pretend you are.”

Most people wait until they “feel” something to act that way.

The most successful people in the world know that it actually works in the opposite way.

If you want to be confident, PRETEND that you are confident.

If you want to be energetic, PRETEND that you are energetic.

If you want to be motivated, PRETEND that you are motivated.

Not convinced? Then just remember these eight words…

ACT AS IF IT WERE IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL.

MESSAGE #1488 LEARN FROM MUHAMMAD ALI

As coaches, athletes, students and professionals, one of our greatest challenges is staying in the present moment. For many athletes, the season is a long one. So what do you do to help ensure that you focus on quality, not quantity? That’s easy, remember this quote from Muhammad Ali:

Don’t count the days, make the days count.

Do what you’re doing while you’re doing it.

MESSAGE #1258 THE GREATEST

Below is a poem that Muhammad Ali wrote and recited to some university students on the topic of persistence:

Stay in college; get the knowledge
Stay there till you are through.
If they can make Penicillin out of moldy bread,
They sure’ll make something out of you!

MESSAGE #974 SEE IF YOU CAN SEE THIS…

Today’s message is especially dedicated to the great Roger Ta in Orange County, California.

Count how many times the letter “F” appears in the following:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY COMBINED WITH MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

How many “F”s did you find?

Most people find between two and five. The answer is six! Go ahead, count again.

We have something called a scotoma (blind spot) and we miss the “F”s in “OF” because it sounds like “OV.”

What does this have to do with you?

You may not see your potential. Well, I’m here to tell you that you have unlimited potential. ANYTHING is possible. Do what Muhammad Ali did…

ACT like a champion before you ARE a champion.

Thanks for reading.

MESSAGE #827

“I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’ “

MESSAGE #815 ONE TIP THAT WILL INSTANTLY IMPROVE YOUR GAME…

“In order to be a great champion, you have to believe that you are the best. And if you don’t – pretend that you are!”
-MUHAMMAD ALI

Have you ever worried about a big match, an important test or a significant presentation?

Of course you have.

The two things that can make or break your performance are worry and fear.

But everyone worries. Tiger Woods gets nervous before every shot.

Muhammad Ali used to be scared to death before a fight.

Pete Sampras used to throw up in the locker room before the finals of Wimbledon.

So what’s the difference between Tiger, Ali, Pete, and you?

Tiger, Ali and Pete feel scared and nervous, but they don’t act scared and nervous. They walk on to the course, into ring or on to the court, confidently.

The rest of us act how we feel, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

The great athletes fake being confident and then they become confident.

You may not have the physical skills as the great ones, but you can have the same mindset and attitude as them…starting today.

MESSAGE #568

“The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses…behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.”
-MUHAMMAD ALI
